Imagine One is seeking a Project Control Specialist to provide financial management and analytical support for Navy programs.

The position is located in Norfolk, Virginia.

Responsibilities:  The analyst will assist the Program Manager (PM) and upper management in the early identification of potential cost/schedule issues, providing the Technical Instruction (TI) Leads/ Control Account Managers (CAMs) the means for corrective action and risk mitigation. The candidate will provide structured program cost and deliverable performance information and analysis, and provide guidance and support to the PM, Leads, and CAMs. The analyst will provide PM and Leads with results of actual costs in relation to estimates and project performance. Additional efforts include monthly performance, schedule, and estimate-to-complete (ETC)/estimate-at-complete (EAC) updates, working with Leads and Project Schedulers to identify cost/schedule variances and determine impacts to the program. Month end reporting and associated deliverables are critical to the position. In particular, the individual shall provide to the Government for review and approval the following services:
  • Aggressively manage and perform analysis to ensure present and future financial performance is consistent with forecasts and identify risk and opportunities to the plan.
  • Develop cost and schedule baseline estimates and support proposal preparation activities.
  • Analyze funding for sub-contractors as well as Direct Labor to ensure customer reporting is consistent and accurate. 
  • Track labor hours on a weekly basis and resolve charging issues.
  • Analyze headcount comparisons on a weekly basis.
  • Support the development of Estimate at Completion (EAC), assisting with the development and documentation of corrective action plans.
  • Work closely with various project teams including matrix functional support and application development teams to understand customer requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
Experience Requirements:  
  • 2-8 years’ relevant experience. Experience must be related financial tracking and analysis at the Program Management level.
  • Program control experience working with Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs), BOE development, cost accounting and financial management systems, and work authorizations.
  • Knowledge of financial processes and systems including Microsoft NAVision preferred.
  • Self-starter with excellent quantitative, analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills.
  • Excellent skills in in Microsoft Excel including knowledge of Pivot tables, V-lookups, etc.
  • Must be a strong team player and be able to work well with diverse teams.
  • Understanding of project scheduling and the use of standardized scheduling tools.
Educational Requirements:  
  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred. 
Security Requirements:  
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Candidate must have an ACTIVE SECRET clearance.
