Imagine One Technology & Management, Ltd. is seeking a Test Lead.  The Test Lead is responsible to the government Test Manager for all aspects of testing activities and has a strong passion for performance testing and troubleshooting. The Test Lead proactively contributes, offers recommendations, and identifies risks and solutions associated with proposed or existing systems undergoing test in a virtual hosted community cloud environment. 

The Test Lead must be well versed in all aspects of testing (e.g. test scheduling and coordination, analysis, planning, performance, automation, user acceptance) and able to speak to needs for each. Has broad expertise in the field’s concepts, practices and procedures, and expertly performs a variety of complex tasks with minimal guidance.

Specific responsibilities for the Lead position include:
  • Identify, derive and document system testing requirements, conduct test events and produce test reports for Programs of Record (POR) test events hosted in the Virtual Hosted Environment (VHE) in the Enterprise Engineering and Certification (E2C) lab at SPAWAR LANT located in Charleston, SC. 
  • Provide end-to-end testing support for internal system evaluation and administration, including support for unit, integration, operational and stress/load testing.
  • Develop Data Collection and Analysis Plan (DCAP) to assist the Integrated Project Team (IPT) in determining how to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to enable success or failure determination of test objectives.
  • Create Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), test plans, test reports, and test cases/test scripts.
  • Conduct application, system, regression, and POR system performance and network performance testing
  • Document test discrepancies, to include:
    • Report discrepancies in Issue Tracker with assigned personnel using JIRA tool.
    • Track lifecycle of all discrepancies through to closure.
    • Provide regular status updates and progress to the team.
  • Work as part of a team to identify and recommend system/network performance enhancements.
  • Oversee / conduct test activity for a given project (not limited to Quality Services).
  • Partner with project stakeholders to ensure effective planning and requirements definition.
  • Analyze requirements, deliverables, results
  • Assist in performance requirement definition.
  • Perform risk analysis.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to organizational practices. Builds and evaluates quality checkpoints.
  • Review, monitor and summarize progress of project testing activities
  • Reviews reports regarding status of project.
  • Active participant in all phases of the project lifecycle. Work with project stakeholders during project definition to help the team understand risks, dependencies, and opportunities; participate in requirements definition and review; lend subject matter expertise to projects.
  • Develop test strategies, test approaches for performance and automation events
  • Suggest and implement process improvements that will accomplish team, department and business goals.
  • Strive for efficiency, consistency and effectiveness
  • Provide mentoring or coaching to engineers, software developers and QA testers.
 Experience Requirements:
  • Six (6) years leading and supporting end-to-end test events for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). 
  • Working knowledge of HP LoadRunner and or IXIA Chariot is a plus.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification is highly desired.
  • Exposure to Ship-to-Shore communications systems is a plus (e.g., Network Operations Center (NOC), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) Ashore, ADNS Afloat, Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS), COMPOSE, CANES, DCGS-N, etc.)
  • Experience with creating a Requirements Traceability Matrix, and managing bi-directional traceability of system requirements, test cases, and test results.
  • Advanced knowledge of testing, including risk-based testing, quality assurance processes and methodologies, software development practices, project management methodologies, test case management and defect management practices, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent degree and/or experience
  • 2+ years of software development and automation & performance testing experience
  • 5+ yrs experience as a Software Quality Assurance Tester
  • 5+ yrs experience in creating test plans and test cases from technical requirements
  • Ability to organize and lead testing efforts and the ability to write a test approach/strategy.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Jira or related tools
  • Familiarity with software testing (unit, integration, functional, regression).
  • Experience with source control, build and deployment tools such as Subversion
  • Experience working on Linux/Unix and Cloud environment – Salesforce and Workday is a plus
  • Knowledge of database query tools and ability write and run SQL queries
Experience Requirements:
  • Java and Linux development experience a big plus
Education Requirements:
Education: BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Physical Science.
Software Engineer only: Working towards the following certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties: Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) (Previously known as Certified Software Engineering Professional (CSEP)), or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), other).

Security Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Candidate must have an ACTIVE SECRET clearance.
