Position Description:  Imagine One Technology & Management, Ltd., is currently recruiting candidates with cyber security background.  This is a “CONTINGENT” position supporting Cyber-Security (CS) and Information Assurance (IA) programs for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) located in the Washington Navy Yard.  There are several similar positions, some of which may be off-site.
The IA Analyst will implement and help manage a full spectrum of (CS/IA) program tasks that facilitate the protection of sensitive unclassified and classified information systems and networks across the NAVSEA Enterprise.  The position requires an individual who is equally capable of working in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment, or independently on projects.

Duties and qualifications, identifying both essential and marginal duties: 
Typical work requirements include:
  • Conduct Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process for systems and networks in accordance with DoD, DON and NAVSEA policies.This requires in-depth review of C&A documentation and providing recommendations to the Navy Authorizing Official (AO)/Designated Approving Authority (DAA).Documentation will include: System Identification Profile (SIP), DIACAP Implementation Plans (DIP), C&A Plans, Risk Assessments, Determination Requests, Certification Test & Evaluation (CT&E) Reports, Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Aid in development of policies, procedures and programs for implementation of DoD and DON CS/IA requirements. This includes Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) tracking, CS/IA awareness training, CS/IA workforce certification, and related activities.
  • Assist with Independent Verification and Validation (IVV) visits, CS/IA compliance inspections, and assessment visits to NAVSEA filed activities, as required.
  • Maintain a NAVSEA Enterprise Cyber Security Test and Evaluation environment.
  • Staff a CS/IA Resource Desk.This requires assistance to NAVSEA and subordinate activities, evaluating incoming queries, drafting responses, maintaining an action tracking system, and keeping performance metrics.

Experience Requirements:
  • At least five years hands on C&A experience with Navy and/or DoD programs.
  • Expert knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance C&A process (DIACAP/RMF) and/or NIST 800-53.
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, and a desire to identify and solve problems.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite of applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Educational Requirements:
  • BS degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Possess the required Cybersecurity / IA certification to serve as a member of the CS/IA workforce. Positions available require performance at IAT Level III, IAM Level I or IAM Level II. The typical candidate will have a valid Security+CE or a CISSP certification (or an equivalent listed in DODI 8570.01-M).
    • IAT Level II requires one of the following: Security+CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA Security.
    • IAM Level I requires one of the following: Security+CE, CAP, or GSLC.
    • IAM Level II requires one of the following: CISSP, CAP, GSLC, CISM, or CASP CE.

Security Requirements:  
  • US citizenship
  • Secret clearance (at time of application).
