Imagine One is currently seeking candidates for a contingent position providing engineering support to the PMS 501/505 contract.  We are looking for a mid-level Combat Systems Certification/Sustainment Engineer for Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) (In-service). Work will be performed in Washington, D.C. Job duties include:
  • Work under supervision of the Mission Systems Certification Manager toward the achievement of all required LCS certifications to include support of the Combat Systems Certification Decision and Warfare Systems Certification Decision panels and working groups.
  • Coordinate certification activities and information across a broad range of stakeholders, including IWS 8.0, PMS 505, PMS 501, Littoral Combat Ship Squadron (LCSRON), NSWC field activities; Navy-Marine Corps Spectrum Center (NMSC); DoD AIMS, U.S. Navy Surface Forces (SURFOR), Tech Warrant Holders (TWHs) and In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs).
  • Prepare certification briefings, data packages, drawings, metrics, plans, procedures, inspection and test data reports, and associated products for IWS 8.0, PMS 505, PMS 501, Supervisors of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), and other LCS stakeholder organizations as directed.
  • Reconcile certifications with Configuration Management Board (CMD) to maintain configuration baseline for the LCS C5I suite on both variants.
  • Participate as LCS C5I representative in programmatic meetings such as, Logistics Support Working Groups (LSWG) meetings, Configuration Management meetings, and Provisioning Planning meetings, and represent the component and ship certification implications of proposed decisions discussed therein.Generate After Action Reports (AAR), document action items and track to closure action items.
  • Identify the certification implications of obsolescent LCS combat system components, particularly for Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Sources (DMSMS) situations for C5I systems and recommending potential certification risk mitigation efforts for obsolescent components.
  • Identify opportunities to improve LCS C5I Certification processes and coordination, promote teamwork, and maintain quality of work in accordance with professional standards.
Experience Requirements:  
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both as an individual and in a team environment.
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Up to four (4) years of military experience in Combat Systems and C5I Systems maintenance / supply sustainment disciplines such as Electronics Technician or Operations Specialist ratings within C5I systems.
Educational Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, or related academic major.
Security Requirements:  
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Current security clearance preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship required
