The successful candidate Civil Engineer will receive training to provide technical support for the development and management of the aircraft carrier Class Maintenance Plan (CMP).  This is accomplished by retrieving, organizing and analyzing system and component performance data, material condition data, and cost data to develop findings and recommendations for further staff action.


Here's more the Civil Engineer will receive essential training and experience, but not limited to the following duties:

• Provide technical support in the engineering principles, techniques and practices as they relate to aircraft carrier Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems; aviation support systems; and electronic systems.
• Retrieve, organize and analyze (e.g., maintenance, risk, material condition) data of specified systems or components based on specific criteria and submit finding for evaluation and action.
• Provide technical support for the development and management of the non-nuclear CMP, Baseline Availability Work Packages (BAWP) and modernization for execution during CVN/aircraft carrier availabilities.
• Assist with development of new ship life cycle strategies.

Experience Requirements:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on data management and analysis.  

Educational Requirements: 

• Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering REQUIRED

Security Requirements:  

• US citizenship REQUIRED
• DoD Secret clearance preferred, but may initiate clearance process for candidates who have U.S. Citizenship
